Clinger, a Brigham Young University commit named the Gatorade National Cross Country Runner of the Year in February, has two NXN titles, two state cross country titles, four track and field titles in the 1600m and 3200m and a team title in cross country.
Parker and Johns have 13 state medals between cross country and track and field, a team title along with Clinger, and personal records that will likely land them at any college of their choosing -- Johns has a 4:06.72 1-mile at the adidas Boost Boston Games in 2016 and Johns owns a 9:05.52 outdoor 3200m.
So what's next for the group?
Turns out, there's a big prize.
Recently, the group made known their intentions to break high school national record in the 4x1600m, which was set by Temecula Great Oak (Ca.) High in 2016 at the Arcadia Invitational in a time of 16:52.95. Clinger's brother, Carson, may be tasked with running the fourth leg of the relay.
"It's all up to him," Casey said.
Last week, the American Fork group ran their first interval workout of the outdoor season.
"The speed is going to help us a lot," Parker said. "I think we can take it down."
