Outcome: Nada. After placing third at Foot Locker Nationals, Nevada Mareno did not run indoor track. North Carolina's Leesville Road still clocked a season-best of 9:14.62 in the 4x800-meter relay, which stands as the No. 14 time in the nation this indoor season, though they did not compete at New Balance Nationals Indoor. Head track coach Jerry Canada left his post in February.
Returning runners-up Western Branch of Virginia placed 10th at New Balance Nationals Indoor in 9:16.42.
NBNI champions Mamaroneck of New York did not break the national record, but they did run to No. 7 on the all-time list with a 8:58.86 clocking. The finish was just as close as last year as North Rockland High School took second in 8:59.63.
