Jaron Brooks Clears 2016's First Seven-Footer
Brooks, a senior from Kentucky, became the first high schooler to high jump over seven feet this winter--a US #1 mark by two inches. Brooks is the defending New Balance outdoor and indoor champion in the high jump, and was fifth at World Youth last summer. This was a de fact season debut, as he started his indoor season with a 6-7 jump at Ohio State last weekend.
