Sixteen Bold Predictions For 2016

Three girls will run sub-10 at Arcadia

The 3200m at the Arcadia Invitational is always fast: last year, the top 18 girls ran 10:30 or faster as Dani Jones won in 10:09. That race wasn't even as good as 2014, when Alexa Efraimson ran 9:55 and four girls broke 10:05.

This spring, Californians Destiny Collins (9:53.79 PR), Fiona O'Keeffe (10:00.85 PR) and Amanda Gehrich (10:23 PR) will break 10 minutes at Arcadia. Both Collins and Gehrich have opted for the Mile at this meet in the past, but will chose the 3200m this year for fast times.

** Extra-bold prediction: NXN champion Katie Rainsberger and/or Foot Locker Nationals champion Weini Kelati will decide to make the trip to California from Colorado and Virginia, respectively, and also break 10 minutes.
