Austin Tamagno Scorches 14:31, No. 12 Dana Hills Packs Up For Team Title

The No. 2 ranked Austin Tamagno cruised 14:31 over three miles at Irvine Regional Park for the third-fastest time in Orange County Championships history. The Brea Olinda senior's effort was four seconds faster than last year's win and guided his team to a runner-up finish behind the No. 12 ranked Dana Hills boys, who packed up to win the team title.

Mason Coppi (2nd, 14:40), Jack Landgraf (4th, 14:47), Jake Ogden (6th, 14:58), Brandon Hough (10th, 15:08) and John Turner (16th, 15:16) boasted a 36-second spread and 14:58 three mile average to distance runner-up Brea Olinda, 35 to 85 points. Tamagno's Olinda squad is no joke, either, adding gravitas to the weight of Dana Hills' victory after placing runner-up to No. 3 Great Oak last weekend at Clovis. Dana Hills' cumulative team time ranks No. 2 All-Time in OC Champs history.

Girls champion Amanda Gehrich won her first major meet this season with a 16:54 victory. The time is particularly impressive given her seventh place, 17:42 finish here last year. The top returner from 2014 in Ashley Licata was runner-up for a second year in a row in 17:21.
