As just a sophomore, Reed Brown placed runner-up in both the 1600m (4:16.50) and the 3200m (9:00.82). On the track, he ran 15:09.09 for the 5k at the Texas Distance Festival. The rising junior finished seventh at the Texas state cross country meet and went on to race in the post-season, finishing sixth at the NXN South Regional (15:56.32), and 99th at NXN Nationals (16:30). If Brown can run close to what he ran in the 5k for track on the XC course, he is one to watch for the Top 25.
