Week 2 (July 13-17)

This is my second week and it was a light week also because I’m really just getting back and I was going for quality runs over quantity. Also, camp is next week and we run a lot more at camp than our usual weekly runs. But most of my runs I felt better than last week and I did my first tempo run.

Monday- I ran a 2.5 mile tempo run. Considering it was my first tempo run for a while, I did pretty well but I didn’t feel very good. I warmed up and cooled down for a mile.

Tuesday- I ran an easy 3 miles since my legs were kind of sore. After I ran I did core.

Wednesday- I ran 6 miles at Wekiwa Springs, which is a really nice trail, and after we run we spend some time swimming in the springs. My legs felt better than yesterday.After we ran we went to one of our teammates’ house and they had a pancake party!

Thursday- I ran 3 miles and my legs felt a lot better. My pace was pretty fast and after I ran I did core and cross trained (15 minutes on elliptical and 15 minutes on bike).

Friday- I ran 8 miles and I felt super good. My pace was fast and comfortable.

Saturday- We flew to Brevard, North Carolina for camp. But we still managed to get in a very easy 3 mile run in with core afterwards.

Total Miles: 22.5
