Week 4 (July 20 - 16)

This week we flew out to California for the UCLA cross country camp. I am still slowly increasing my mileage and intensity as the weeks go by. Connor Garvey (goes to Dallas Jesuit), John and I all flew out on Monday and stayed out there till Thursday. I had a good week of running with good company as well as having fun in LA.

Monday- 8miles at easy pace. We ran from the campus throughout Rodeo Dr. It was a nice little hake out run from just getting off the plane. We all ran this as a camp and even had Coach Bryden run with us!

Tuesday- 3 miles in the am and 6 in the pm. The first run was a shake out run and we ran this on their IM field. Later that evening we went to a pretty nice trail.

Wednesday- 10 miles at easy pace. We ran this along Santa Monica beach with our group and our UCLA counselor Miles Smith (watch out for him this year). Then we got to go to the beach afterwards, so that was fun.

Thursday- Fartlek 9 miles total. We took it pretty easy and just cruised through the on portion on the workout. Flew home that day also

Friday- 4 miles easy. Ran this on our high schools field with John.

Saturday-6 miles at moderate pace. Ran this at Warren park with Clark and John.

Sunday-7 miles at progressive pace. Ran this at a field near my neighborhood.
