Saucony Flo50 Summer Training Blog: Carter Blunt

Week 2 (July 6 - 12)

Another week of relatively relaxed running. This week I added one actual workout into the mix of things just to get the legs rolling again. I ran all 7 days of the week with taking a couple of recovery days to minimize the stress and pounding of running while still training. With the summers always being extremely busy, I knew that I needed to take advantage of being able to train without having to worry about traveling.

Monday: 7- moderate pace. Ran at the local cross country course with Isaac.

Tuesday: 7- easy and relaxed pace. Ran with Russell and Isaac at our dirt road we found. Also we found out that there were some cool trails along the way!

Wednesday: 7 total- today was my fist actual workout. I ran an easy tempo just to get my body use to a somewhat uptempo pace again.

Thursday: 7- easy and relaxed. I ran much quicker than I wanted to, but it felt easy so I just went with it. I ran this with Isaac and Russell at our local cross country course.

Friday: 4- easy and relaxed. This was one of my true recovery days. Ran this at the school with Isaac and Russell.

Saturday: 7- moderate pace. We ran at this really hilly place. I ran this with Russell.

Sunday: 4 - easy and relaxed pace. I wasn't quite aware how far ahead I was on my weekly mileage, so I decided to take a recovery day so I don't overdo my training. I ran this around the neighborhood park.

Weekly Mileage: 43
