Summer Training, Week 2: July 6th to July 12th

This is my second week back since my break due to my injury which was shin splints in both legs leading to slight stress fracture. I felt good this week, so I ran a bit more than the previous week. All of my runs this week took place on the road and sand because I was at the beach all week. Will start doubling next week.

Monday- Ran for 30 minutes on the road at 7:15 pace. Circuits for 10 minutes afterwards. (My circuits include curl-ups, push-ups, planks, anything really to help with core).

Tuesday: Tried out running on the sand for the first time, ran for 50 minutes at 7:30 pace (due to getting lost along the way). Barefoot strides and circuits afterwards.

Wednesday: 4 mile run today on the road. First 2 miles at 6:45 pace, second 2 at 7:15 pace. Circuits afterwards.

Thursday: 40 minutes on the road, 7:30 pace. Circuits and barefoot strides after.

Friday: Quick tempo run: 20 minutes at 6:15 pace, circuits in the middle, and then 20 more minutes at 6:30 pace.

Saturday: 30 minute run at 8 minute pace. Circuits after.

Sunday: Left beach today, only did circuits, no run.
