Saucony Flo50 Summer Training Blog: Rachel McArthur

Summer Training, Week 1: June 29th to July 5th

This is my first week back since my 3 week break, which started right after the Dream Mile in New York. I took this long of a break took due to injury, so it was an easy first week. I was at the beach for part of the week, so my training changed a bit. Team runs will start in two weeks for me so for now, I train alone. All runs are around my neighborhood. Not 100% sure how many miles, I run for minutes.

June 29th: Monday - Ran an easy 40 minutes in the morning at about 8 minute pace, followed by 10 minutes of stretches to help with my past injury.

Tuesday - (Slight pain in my legs so) rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes at a quick pace.

Wednesday - Stationary bike for 45 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of circuits which included sit-ups, curl-ups, planks, lunges, squats and push-ups.

Thursday - Elliptical for 40 minutes. Followed by circuits and stretches

Friday - Easy run for 30 minutes at 7 minute pace.

Saturday - Ran a 5k in the morning for the 4th of July at a very slow pace, 20 something minutes. Followed by circuits and stretches.

Sunday - Left for beach today, easy jog for 20 minutes in the morning. Nothing else.
