Teahna Daniels won the USATF Junior Nationals 100m in U.S. No. 2 11.24 to close out her high school career before joining the Texas Longhorns.

Teahna Daniels won the USATF Junior Nationals 100m in U.S. No. 2 11.24 to close out her high school career before joining the Texas Longhorns.

1. Candace Hill (Rockdale County, GA - So.) - Hill broke not only her own Georgia state records in both the 100m and 200m this year, but the National High School Record for 100m in 10.98 at the Brooks PR Invitational. She is the only prep in history to break 11 seconds.

2. Teahna Daniels (First Academy(Orlando), FL - Sr.) - Daniels defended her Florida state titles in both the 100 and the 200 to finish off her high school career with a four total state titles. She finished first at the USATF Jr. National Championship to earn herself a spot to represent U.S. on the Pan Am team. Daniels was U.S. No. 2 in the 100m with her 11.24.

3. Zaria Francis (Rio Mesa, CA - Jr.) - Francis was the California state champion in both the 100 and 200 this year and finished second at Brooks PR behind none other than Candace Hill. Her 11.26 from Brooks PR puts her at U.S. No. 3 on the year in the 100. She also is U.S. No. 3 in the 200 with her 23.09 from the state meet.

4. Khalifa St. Fort (St. Thomas Aquinas, FL - Jr.) - Fort finished 3rd at the Florida 4A state championships. She took the victory at the Golden South Classic with 11.43 PR. At the Adidas Dream 100, Fort finished third.

5. Alfreda Steele (Pasco, FL - Jr.) - The Florida 2A state champion finished 3rd at Brooks PR with 11.33 PR. That race placed her at U.S. No. 4 on the year for the event. Steele also holds a state title in the 200 as well.

6. Lauren Rain Williams (Oaks Christian, CA - So.) - Williams, the California state runner-up in the 100, took a big win in the Arcadia Invitation and went on to finish fourth in the 100 at Brooks PR with her time of 11.37. She also is the New Balance Nationals Indoor champion and state champion in the 200.

7. Krystal Sparling (St. Thomas Aquinas, FL - Sr.) - Sparling was the Florida 4A state champion in the 100 meters, improving upon her second place finish from a year ago. She also posted an 11.37 fifth place finish at Brooks PR putting her at U.S. No. 5 on the year.

8. Lynna Irby (Pike, IN - So.) - Irby defended her 100 state title this year posting a time of 11.50. Her 11.47 third place finish at the Golden South Classic put her at U.S. No. 8 on the year. Irby also finished second at the USATF World Youth Trials.
