Thursday Highlights From USATF Junior Nationals

Curtis Thompson (Mississippi State/ Florence TWP NJ '14) 237-4

Recap: Curtis Thompson, last year's New Jersey state record setter as well as a World Junior team member in the javelin as a senior at Florence Township, came back to Hayward Field this weekend to win the 2015 junior men's title with a mark of 237'4". The two-time U.S. junior champion Thompson had a busy day on Thursday as he also competed in the senior men's javelin throw and finished 6th with a throw of 237'8" by the current Mississippi State University freshmen.

The top two high school competitors in the junior men's javelin throw were two of the best preps from the Northwest between Hudson Keffer from Washington in 5th place at 192'10" and Jackson VanVuren from Oregon in 6th place at 191'5".
