Girls 4x200m |
When to Watch: Saturday 1/31/15 At 5:30Pm |
State of the Action: As we saw Saturday, Medgar Evers only embraces the pressure put upon them. With a field like this, there is no telling how they might respond, time-wise. Could they lower their own US #3 All-Time mark in the 4x200m? Cheltenham, PA will be looking to break up their dominance at the Armory, as the only other team under 1:40 this year. However, with Sydney McLaughlin (Union Catholic) presumably in the field, there is no telling what their season best may shoot down to. A strong field compiled here, but we think it may have to wait until March for the National Record to be truly challenged,

Girls 4x400m |
When to Watch: Friday 1/30/15 At 6:12Pm |
State of the Action: With the relay legs they have, Benjamin Cardozo can be confident setting their sights on 3:43 in the 4x400m. It may be too early in the season to reach those heights, but this will be the field to push them to those levels. Western Branch, VA and Oak Park, MI (Motor City Track Club, to those familiar with NBIN) both traveled great distances to make some claims of their own. The National Record is out of reach at this point in the season, but the leaderboards will be sure to be rewritten. Medgar Evers and Paul Robeson will both have bigger fish to fry (Evers in the 4x2, and Crawford in the 600), so only time will tell if they push past that 1:50 barrier. Once again, if Union Catholic, NJ runs Syndey McLaughlin, it could be a game changer.

Girls 4x800m |
When to Watch: Saturday 1/31/15 At 3:07Pm |
State of the Action: Wondering why Emma Gallagher isn't entered in the 600m record chase? She has chosen to run exclusively for her team (Cardozo) this weekend, aiding both relays, with a big focus on the 4x800m Saturday afternoon. They'll need all legs ready to roll, as the nation is about to come crashing down on the event that has seemed avoided in the early season. Western Branch, VA has the same schedule as Cardozo, and could pull an upset in each. The Canadians are sending a team of unknowns to the party, and could very well run away from the field. Bronxville put on a show in the DMR at Yale, running a fresh B-Team for the 4x800m to capture their current seed. With a mixing of the two squads, they could put together an incredible squad. Shenendehowa and Burnt Hills make up the Section 2 contingency in the field, and will be chasing the lead pack as well. At the risk of sounding repetitive, Union Catholic is entered in the field, and McLaughlin could be waiting to strike. Yet, we still think the National Record is currently out of reach for this field.
