About Me
Vertical Runner Breckenridge was founded in 2013 by Molly & Drew Mikita and Ryan Morgan. The VRB family came together in the 2013 rendition of serendipity, Craigslist. Ryan responded to an ad for an apartment for rent, an apartment in the Mikita’s house. The three instantly became the best of friends and grew closer. It was in the basement of our home that VRB was born.

Ryan, an accomplished trail runner, Molly who was training for her first marathon, and Drew who has played every sport under the sun, all had different experiences with running, but all love running! Summit County has a very active hiking, road running, and trail running population, yet there was nothing pulling the running community together. VRB has made it a mission to create, connect, and unify the local, Colorado, and national running communities. Being an active part of races, clubs, and “all things running” has become one of the biggest values of VRB.
Vertical Runner Breckenridge also saw a need for high quality, affordable, and cutting edge running shoes and gear. Knowing the importance of selection in shoes and gear, VRB carries a wide variety of shoes and all things running. Gait analysis and proper shoe fitting help to provide the best comfort, support, and experience in a shoe. Providing a knowledgeable staff, in-store treadmill, and high quality merchandise allow us to get you into the best possible equipment for your unique feet, goals, and terrain.
