Join our special Nike guest, Alan Webb for this year's Nike Cross National Southeast Region Pasta Dinner.

This year's dinner will once again be hosted at the Herbert Young Community Center, centrally located less than 3 miles from the course and the host hotel. The Pasta Dinner will feature a selection of homemade food and unique entertainment throughout the night. This is a chance for teams and individual runners from all over the Southeast Region to meet each other in a relaxed atmosphere before the big race. The Pasta Dinner begins at 6:00, costs only $12.00 per person for all you can eat. It's open to all friends and family, and we will be giving away free Nike gifts all night long.

As well, the Pasta Dinner will be the host for the Third Annual Southeast Regional Cross Country Team T-Shirt Swap. This tradition has steadily increased over the past two years into a huge hit! To participate, athletes should bring a team shirt from their school, which can be traded and exchanged, for a shirt from another team. This tradition is the perfect way for runners to meet and mingle with other folks from all over the region. Be sure to bring a shirt!

We request that you please pre-register for the pasta dinner so we can insure that we have enough space and plenty of food. To reserve a seat to the Pasta Dinner, please send an email to nxnsoutheast@gmail.com with subject "Pasta Dinner Registration." Please provide:
* Your name

* High School or Club name

* Number of seats requested

HOW DO YOU QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS?
Automatic qualifiers into Nike Cross Nationals from the NXN Regionals: The top two placing teams in each gender of the Championship Division race at each NXN regional will earn automatic berths to NXN in Portland. Additionally, the top five placing individuals who are not on automatically placing teams will advance to NXN as individual qualifiers.

At-Large qualifiers into Nike Cross Nationals from the NXN Regionals: A total of four at-large team berths per gender will be awarded. Teams placing either third or fourth in the Championship Division race at each NXN regional will move into a pool of teams receiving consideration for advancing to NXN as an at-large qualifier. A committee of experts will determine the at-large qualifiers.

Greatest weighting by the committee will be given to third-place teams from the Championship Division race at each NXN Regional who defeated any eventual NXN Regional Champion in prior weeks. In order for this weighting to be employed for the third-place teams, the victory must have occurred when at least five team members from the eventual NXN regional championship team competed in the same race as the aforementioned loss.
