BAAA Age Group Championships 2011

Meet Information

This weekend is the start of Trials for the CAC Age Group, and the IAAF World Youth Championships. The competition will begin 6:00pm on Friday, June 10th and 1:00pm on Saturday, June 11th.

Athletes are expected from all over the Bahamas.

The Age Group Championships will be held July 1st and 2nd in Tortola, British West Indies, and the IAAF World Youth will be held July 4th to 10th in Lille, France.

The age divisions for the Age Group Championships are 11 and 12 and 13 and 14.

This is a multi event championship with Girls 11 and 12 having these events:

Long Jump

Ball Throw

Boys 11 and 12

Last year at the World Junior Championships Shaunae Miller won the 400m crown.

The BAAA expects to have additional qualifiers this weekend. We encourage the public to support this event, the last of the season in Nassau.

The BAAA BTC Jr. & Sr. Track and Field Championships will be held in Grand Bahama the 24th and 25th of June.
