MIRAMAR, Fla. - The Ansin Sports Complex played host to the North American, Central American and Caribbean Under-23 Championships this past weekend, and the LSU track and field program was on display as athletes representing three countries took home 10 medals in three days of competition.

Competing for Team USA in Miramar Florida, senior-to-be Cory Primm finished fifth in the 800m at the Under-23 NACAC Championships. The meet, which features athletes from North America, Central America and the Caribbean, took place over the weekend.

Borman Fourth in Javelin at NACACs Jul 11, 2010

Brittany Borman finished fourth in the javelin for Team USA Sunday at the U-23 NACAC Championships in Miramar, Fla., as the American side finished first in the competition with 74 medals including two gold medals from OU's Karen Shump (shot put) and Ronnie Ash (110-meter hurdles) on Friday.

Karen Shump and Ronnie Ash each claimed gold for Team USA Friday at the U-23 NACAC Championships in Miramar, Fla. Shump easily won gold in the shot put with a personal best as Team USA claimed the top two spots in the final standings while Ash ran away with the 110-meter hurdles title defeating competitors from five countries in the process.
