Sometimes the best stories happen quietly in the background.  That is definitely the case for the Norton 4x50y Shuttle Hurdle team of Ben Donovan, Ramzi Bechara, James Sicard, and Ryan Lapadula who set the Division 4 record in that event two weeks ago....or so they thought.

Framingham Flyers Break School Records Jan 24, 2012

Framingham High boys indoor track team finished fifth overall in the Massachusetts Divison 1 relays on Saturday, said head coach Chris Collins. It was the "best day in Framingham High boys indoor track recent history," added Collins.  The squad also set a couple of school records.(via Framingham Patch)

LHS boys No. 1 at State Relays Jan 22, 2012

2012 MSTCA D1 Relays - Newton North Records Jan 21, 2012

Newton North set state records in the 4x50m dash and 4x50m hurdles and meet record in the long jump relay at the 2012 MSTCA Division 1 relays. Newton North won the meet for the third year running.

It was a record breaking day as the Newton North girls took home the team title and set three meet records in the process.   The Tigers surpassed the previous best marks in the 4x50 Yard Relay (24.52), the 4x50 Yard Hurdles Relay (29.11), and the Long Jump (49’4.25).  Carla Forbes was a major part of the dash relay and long jump relay; in addition to anchoring the winning 4x400m relay.
