Three Standout Performers:
Juliette Whittaker, Mount De Sales Academy (MD): Whittaker has some of the top times in the nation in both the 1600m and 800m. In the 1600m, she clocked a 4:48.12, which ranks US No. 5 overall. In the 800m, she's run a 2:07.96, which ranks US No. 4 overall. For the freshmen and sophomore classes, Whittaker's times rank No. 2 for 800m and No. 1 for 1600m. Taylor James Niwot High School (CO): The sophomore has quite an impressive resume. In the fall she finished 35th at Nike Cross Nationals. This outdoor track season she's made her mark as one of the top distance runners in the class of 2021. She has the top time in the nation in the 800m for underclassmen. She ran a 2:07.12 to place second at the Arcadia Invitational
--that also ranks US No. 3 overall in the country. She was just behind North Canyon (AZ) junior Dominique Mustin
, who ran 2:06.01. James ran 4:59.35 for 1600m to win the Boulder County Track Championships. James also runs the 400 and dabbles in the 100 and 200 as well.
Sydney Thorvaldson Rawlins High School (WY): Thorvaldson is one of the nation's top long-distance runners. She excels at the 1600m and 3200m and has finished as an All-American at Nike Cross Nationals the past two seasons, finishing ninth and 13th overall. On the track, she's improved her 1600m time to 5:01.42 and her 3200m time to 10:12.18. She ran 5:01.42 to win the Wheatland Invite and her 3200m PR comes from the Arcadia Invitational
