If recent history has taught us anything in the past five years in the 100mH and 300mH, athletes have absolutely crushed expectations.
National High School Records have been set in both events since 2017, and athletes owning those marks have both turned professional since then, with Tia Jones, currently still a Wheeler (GA) High School senior, recently making her decision in January.
We took a look at the US No. 1 leaders over the past five years, then compiled averages among the nation's top 500, top 100, top 50, top 20 and top 10 athletes over the course of the distance's history.
Check the links below to find out the results. We then compiled the top 10 athletes over the last five seasons and stacked up their times against each other -- some athletes, as a result, will be featured more than once.
