5 Standout Athletes:

Tamari Davis (FL) - Tamari Davis may already be a well-known name but we may sometimes forget she is only a sophomore. Last year Davis ran some of the top all-time marks of 6.73 in the 55m dash, 7.25 in the 60m dash, and 23.24 in the 200m dash. Already this year, with just one meet under her belt, she is off to a fast start clocking a 7.36 in the 60m dash and a 23.66 in the 200m dash at the USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational. We should see even more big things out of her as the season progresses.

Zariyah Black (NC) - Zariyah Black from Greensboro, North Carolina has some of the fastest underclassmen times in the nation in five different events. The sophomore has the third fastest overall time in the nation in the 60mH with her 8.73 from the JDL College Kick-Off Classic. She also has run the 16th fastest underclassmen time in the nation in the 55m dash (7.31), fourth fastest underclassmen time in the 60m dash (7.65), 17th fastest underclassmen time in the nation in the 200m (25.83) and fourth fastest underclassmen 55mH time in the nation (8.32).

Moforehan Abinusawa (PA) - The Germantown Academy (PA) freshman has the fastest underclassmen time in the nation in the 55m dash with her run of 6.95 from the Ursinus High School Invitational. She is also just behind Davis in the underclassmen 200m rankings with a time of 24.51 from that same invitational.

Sanaa Hebron (PA) - Freshmen Sanaa Hebron has top three underclassmen times in everything from the 200m to the 400m. At the very end of 2018, she ran the 200m in 24.82 at the Marine Corps Holiday Classic on December 29th. Earlier in 2018, she ran 55.04 in the 400m and 38.79 in the 300m at the Armory Coaches Hall of Fame Invitational. Although she is still a freshmen, her times have earned her national rankings among all grades.  Her 200m time ranks US No. 7, her 300m time ranks US No. 4, and her 400m time ranks US No. 1. Watch for her to make even more waves in 2019.

Kayla Davis (NC) - Davis holds some of the top times in the 300m and 500m dashes. The freshmen from Wake Forest, North Carolina has run the top underclassmen time in the 500m dash of 1:12.70 and the second fastest 300m time with her 38.03.
