In recent years we've seen some truly breakthrough talent excel in their freshman debuts over the indoor season.
Names such as Tamari Davis (2018), Alicia Burnett (2017), Abby Steiner (2015) and Lauren Rain Williams (2014) previously led their freshman class in at least one event over their respective years.
So it could be true that the same theme could be playing out in 2018. History has shown us that the nation's top freshmen have often been able to carry-over that same success over their high school careers.
So we could be seeing another star in Germantown Academy (PA) High School freshman Moforehan Abinusawa, who currently owns a US No. 2 mark in the 200m (24.51) and is one of just six girls nationwide under 25 seconds through December.
In the 60m, Miami Killian (FL) High School's Nicole Braggs currently owns a US No. 36 mark in the 60m (an outdoor race) with a time of 7.83 seconds.
