How we did this: We took the top 8 senior athletes from each event,
and used their best mark from the 2016 season to create a virtual meet with them
competing for their respectable college. We then added up all the
points and scored each team to find out which school had the strongest
Some of the
top athletes are not continuing their running career in college, so we
eliminated them and took the next best mark. However there are others who plan to play two sports in college.
We also had
trouble finding all the college commitments. If you have any
information for athletes who have no college listed, message/tweet
@milesplit at us to let us know! We will update the rankings if we find out where more kids are going.
