USATF South Carolina told scrunners.com that the organization with help of Myrtle Beach has won its bid for the 2014 USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country National Championships.
The state recently hosted nationals in 2011 at Whispering Pines Golf Course.
Other state that put in bids for 2014 include Florida and North Carolina.

- Linda Ellis has been re-elected as the secretary on the National Youth Division of USA Track & Field for another 4 years.
- South Carolina Association Youth Program received outstanding Program plaque.
- Tami Dennis received outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award for the Southeastern region.
- Tami Dennis also received the National Youth Chair award she was one of seven recipients. Dennis will be presented her award in Albuquerque, N.M.
