On his 3rd attempt at the benchmark height of 16-0, senior Tim Moses of Palmyra set a new PR. He tried three times at 16-3. The last PA pole vaulter over 16 feet indoors was Eric Sparks of Hickory at Nike Indoor Nationals in 2005. Moses was 6th at indoor in 2012 clearing 14-6, and 6th in outdoor in 2012, going over at 15-0.
In the girls race, three-time PA State Champion Pennsbury finished 9th with 256 points. The mud obviously broke up their tight pack. Top finisher was Maddie Sauer in 44th with a mud-assisted time of 20:41.
