The Fleet Feet Biggest Mover Award, is a weekly award that goes to an athlete who, in the minds of our team at MileSplit, we believe made the most strides in their respective Brooks XC Region. Whether that means they made big leaps up the leaderboards, or shattered a course record, we recognize that this athlete has established themselves as a contender at their upcoming championship race.
Adalyn Racines (Cheyenne Central, WY) ran her personal best 5K in 2025 at Liberty Bell in Colorado with a 53rd place finish in 18:27. She would go on to run a 19:35 at the WHSAA 4A State Championships where she finished 7th overall and the third girl for Cheyenne Central's team. Her 18:27 put her at 258th in the West Returning Regional rankings ahead of the cross country season.
This year, she'd open her season with an 18:25 5K at the Horizon Invitational, then at Liberty Bell she would shatter that mark running 17:13 to take fourth overall in a national caliber field!

Her new personal best of 17:13 would not only rank her as the top girl across Wyoming this season, but would put her as the sixth fastest girl currently in the West Region.
The Top 30 athletes at Brooks XC West Region Championships in Walnut, CA on December 5th will receive All-Region Honors, while the top ten individuals will book their ticket to compete at the Brooks XC National Championships in San Diego on December 13.
Racine since would race in at the Thornton Invitational where she would take the win in 17:50. She ran 19:09 at the same meet in 2025. The next week she'd win the Arvada West Durdan Invitational in 18:08. She ran 19:15 there in 2025.
Racine has a strong track season setting massive personal best of 4:58.61 in the 1600m and 10:59.30 in the 3200m, but she's certainly taken another step forward since and is a major threat to take a Brooks West Regional qualifying spot to Balboa Park this December.
