BROOKS SIGNS THREE COLORADO BLUFFS

TJ Hansen comes from a family of runners. Both parents and his sisters competed at the collegiate level. His approach to the sport has always been about becoming the best version of himself rather than chasing rivals. The results spoke for what the mentality produced. In his junior season he won the Michigan Lower Peninsula Division 2 State Championship in 14:52.80 - the fastest Division 2 time in MHSAA Finals 5K history, tied seventh-fastest across all classes and divisions. He finished tenth at Nike Cross Nationals that fall for Second Team All-America honors. He came back as a senior chasing the 14-minute mark - a number only Dathan Ritzenhein had reached in MHSAA championship history - ran a 5K PR of 14:41.55, won the Division 2 state title again, won the Michigan LP 1600m track title, and earned Michigan Gatorade Boys Cross Country Player of the Year for the second straight year. He arrived at Colorado ranked No. 3 nationally, having lost only once from the start of his junior season through the end of his career. 

Jack Graffeo spent the first month of his senior cross country season at Westford Academy in Massachusetts on the sideline with a nagging injury, uncertain when or whether his fall would get going. When he finally showed up to race in October 2024, he won his second straight MSTCA Bob Glennon Twilight Invitational title by 20 seconds in a new personal best of 14:56.1. He won every race he entered after that. The Foot Locker Northeast Regional. Third place at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship in December in 15:34.5. His track PRs of 8:52 for two miles and 14:06 for 5K place him among the top distance recruits the program has brought in. He is studying Physiology in Boulder, entering his sophomore year as one of the Buffs' building blocks.

Jake Liebert won the South Carolina Class AAAAA state cross country championship three times - as a sophomore, junior, and senior at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, one of the fastest programs in the state. His senior title came by 27 seconds in 15:19.79. He was 11th at the 2023 Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship for Third Team All-America honors and the South Carolina Gatorade Boys Cross Country Player of the Year. On the track his two-mile PR of 8:47.47 earned him third at New Balance Nationals Outdoor, and he won the South Carolina AAAAA state 1600m title in 4:11.04. He originally signed with Tennessee before transferring to Colorado and is now a sophomore at Boulder.
