The 2026 USATF Region 11 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships brought out some of the Northwest's best, with athletes from across the region punching their tickets to Norwalk.
Here are four of the many who made the most of their opportunity.
The meet's top sprinter swept the 100m and 200m titles with personal bests in both events. After posting a blistering 10.71 in the 100m final, he came back to clock 21.98 in the 200m, holding off Preston Welch by more than a quarter second to claim his second gold of the weekend. He also anchored Mountain West Track to a 4x100m title in 43.61.

Gama was one of the busiest athletes of the weekend, picking up region titles in the 100mH and 400mH, while finishing runner-up in both the high jump and long jump. She ran 14.41 in the 100mH final before clocking 1:03.45 in the 400mH, cleared 5-2.75 for silver in the high jump, and jumped 17-7 for runner-up honors in the long jump to cap a remarkable four-event showing.
Dye had a productive weekend across two events, finishing third in the 110mH in 14.56 before shifting his focus to the decathlon, where he put together a personal best of 6,423 points to claim the region title. He pulled away from a competitive field that included runner-up Ace Clark's 6,353 to take the crown.
Francis had a dominant showing across three events, winning the long jump with a PB of 18-0.5 before claiming the heptathlon title with 4,730 points, nearly 300 clear of runner-up Paetyn Polatis. She also competed in the open javelin, finishing fourth with a throw of 111-07.25, capping a weekend that showcased her versatility across multiple disciplines.
