Mia Sirois broke the Illinois all-time 3200m record. The Barrington junior missed all of cross country and indoor track with injury. This week she ran 9:44.16 - a new Illinois all-time state record and US#5 all-time.
Canaan Dunham dropped a second and a half to win Iowa 3A. The Pella senior ran 1:50.61 to claim the Class 3A 800m state title, dropping 1.5 seconds off his previous best to beat Quentin Nauman, who had not finished second in an individual distance race in Iowa since March 2024. Nauman answered by defending his 1600m state title in 4:08.16 to close out his scholastic career on his own terms.
Evanston Township won Illinois 3A 4x400m in 3:48.63. Brie Noel anchored Evanston Township to the Class 3A 4x400m title in an Illinois#1 3:48.63 to end the season with the state's fastest time.
Long Beach Wilson broke the California 4x400m state record. Brooke Blue, Brooklyn Fowler, Clara Adams, and Saniah Varnado ran 3:33.83 at the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet, breaking a California 4x400m state record that had stood for over 20 years.
