Weekend Rewind: Top T&F Storylines (Mar. 20 - Apr. 5)

MORE FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY

Early in the outdoor season and the performances are already coming from every corner of the country. No state is waiting around. From a Montana hurdler going where no one from his state has gone before, to a Mississippi girl running three events in 90 minutes and joining the company of an Olympian, the national picture is shifting every weekend.

Kellen Krueger made Montana history. Big Sky's Krueger ran 13.66 in the 110m hurdles - the first Montana high schooler ever under 14 seconds, and not by a little. His mark sits US#7 for all-conditions marks this season.

Josh Sharp opened the season with a 47.85 400m. Sharp won the boys 400m at the Green Raider Invite in 47.85 - a bold season opener for any 400m runner.

Lilly Overby did something Mississippi has never seen. She ran 58.35, 2:18, and 4:57 across the 400m, 800m, and 1600m in the span of 90 minutes. She moved to 5th in the state for the 400m and 4th all-time in Mississippi for the 1600m. The only other athlete in Mississippi history to have been that fast across all three events is Olympian Cory McGee, who still holds the state records in the 800m and 1600m.

Josiah Davis dropped 0.37 off his 100m PR. He ran 10.17 (+3.6) in the first round of Texas state qualifying - jumping from US#86 to US#7 in the country overnight.

Justin Arogundade and Nasir Williams put Georgia on the triple jump map. Arogundade hit 50-10.75 to move into the US top three and take the Georgia state lead. At the same meet, Marietta's Williams jumped 50-9.50 for US#3 and Georgia #2. Three of the top five triple jump marks in the country right now belong to Georgia athletes.

The outdoor season has just started. The record books already look different. Keep watching.
