NORFOLK, VIRGINIA -- North Broward Prep sprinter Jerimy Strainge expressed some anxiety on Friday before his two finals races on Saturday, but the nerves sure did not show on track.
The rising sophomore took gold in both of his events running into some fairly steep wind to easily gap his opponents with times of 10.86 and 21.65. In the 100 meters, his blocks slipped causing him to trail the entire field early. Strainge kept a cool head and managed to close quickly, moving up from last place to first with a couple of meets padding.
