MileSplit is the exclusive broadcast partner and media hub for the Chandler Rotary Invitational, the largest high school track and field meet in the Southwest. This collaboration will enhance one of the nation's longest-standing high school events, offering a renewed perspective with a live stream available on MileSplit on March 20-21.
The Chandler Rotary Invitational consistently attracts the most competitive athletes in the Southwest to Chandler, Arizona, just 25 miles from Phoenix. In 1941, the meet began as a relay-only event with seven teams, but since moving to Chandler High School in 1943, it's grown into much more. It now draws over 4,500 student-athletes from Arizona, California, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada, and more.
Over its eight-decade history, many athletes have gone on to professional and Olympic careers, including Tara Davis, Valerie Allman, Anna Hall, Courtney Wayment, Dani Jones, Devon Allen, and Will Claye. Today's future stars will compete on the biggest stage of high school track and field with MileSplit.
"Our athletes deserve a platform that reflects the level of competition at Chandler Rotary," said meet director Dave Shapiro. "With MileSplit and the broader FloSports network, the same group behind Penn Relays and Diamond League coverage on FloTrack, we're proud to showcase this meet on a national stage."
The meet spans two days, including an open invitational and a relay invitational session on Friday, headlined by elite 3200m fields. Saturday features loaded seeded invitational fields, including high school boys and girls in the 4x800m relay, girls 100m hurdles, boys 110m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, long jump, high jump, triple jump, pole vault, javelin, and open 3200m.
"We're incredibly excited to partner with Chandler Rotary and support one of the premier high school meets in the country," said MileSplit Director of Content, Alonso Rodriguez. "The level of competition, organization, and tradition behind this event makes it a natural fit for MileSplit, and we're proud to bring it to a national audience."
MileSplit is the streaming home to the biggest high school invitationals across the country, from the Virginia Showcase, RunningLane Championships, and Adidas Indoor/Outdoor Nationals. The addition of the Chandler Rotary Invitational brings MileSplit's broadcast expertise to the West in an impactful way.
