Weekend Rewind: Top Indoor Storylines (Feb. 2-8)

February may feel early on the calendar, but this weekend proved the indoor season isn't slowing.

It's accelerating.

While much of the country is still shaking off winter, tracks from New Jersey to Florida and beyond were alive with urgency. High schoolers made national statements, and elite juniors reminded everyone that age is no barrier to world-class talent.

Natalie Dumas made her commitment to Arkansas known, as continues to dominate across multiple distances. In Florida, the indoor championships produced a cascade of No. 1s, with Lee Peters blazing a US #4 60m dash, Jaxon Jerabek vaulting to US No. 1 indoors, and a field stacked from sprints to distance pushing every mark. Across the country, relays and hurdle performances turned heads, with athletes like Evah Elleby and North Penn's DMR squad chasing US-leading times and rewriting the early-season narrative.

Margins were thin, performances were precise, and the indoor season made one thing clear: these athletes aren't just passing through winter, they're embracing it.
