The East Coast was the place to be over the weekend, with all five nominees earning their stripes at one of the elite meets spanning from Boston all the way down to Gainesville.

The record books were rewritten, and national leads were set, but these five managed to stand out among the rest.

The National Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 5, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

National Boys Indoor Performer of the Week (Jan. 26-Feb. 1)

This Week's Nominees:

Jaelyn Williams, Eastlake (Calif.): There's an easy argument to be made that the future Stanford Cardinal just had one of the greatest prep weekends in distance running history. On Friday, at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University, Williams finished ninth in the 3000m out of 138 finishers (primarily collegians), running 9:07.39, the No. 5 performance in high school history. Two days later, at the 118th Millrose Games, Williams clocked 4:38.69 in the mile, the new national lead and the 12th-fastest time in high school history. She's one of just five girls ever to break 9:10 and 4:40 in both events.

Sianni Wynn, Pennsauken (N.J.): At the Penn Relays Winter Showcase, it was a clean sweep for Wynn as she won both the 60m and 200m in dominant fashion. In the shorter of the two, the senior stopped the clock at 7.36 after running 7.48 in prelims, pairing nicely with her 23.37 win in the 200m that same day. For now, she's ranked No. 4 in both events nationally and could very well lower both of her state records as she climbs up the national all-time lists.

Nyla Christian, Miami Northwestern (Fla.): In her first indoor competition of the 2026 season, the senior made a statement at The Legends of Alachua County Invitational. Christian won both the 60mH and long jump, running 6.84 and jumping 19-4 en route to her pair of wins. Both season debuts put her inside the top-25 on the national leaderboard, and No. 2 in each one among the "Sunshine State's" best.

Taylor McGinness, Smithfield (R.I.): At the RIIL Class Championships in Providence, Rhode Island, McGinness finished first and second in the weight throw and shot put, respectively. Her win notched her sixth in eight meets so far this campaign, while her runner-up finish is her third top-three finish out of five opportunities. McGinness' marks of 56-10 and 35-2 from a few weeks ago put her at No. 2 in the state this season, with her weight throw performance the fourth-best in the country.

Dasia Reed, Montverde Academy (Fla.): In her third meet and third race of her junior campaign, Reed picked up a 400m PB and the win at The Legends of Alachua County Invitational. Before this past weekend, Reed had never broken 55 seconds in the 400m indoors or outdoors, but did so with ease as she clocked 54.56 in Gainesville. Reed becomes just the 14th Floridian to ever break that barrier, and the sixth junior in state history to do so. She also happens to be the seventh girl from Montverde Academy to run sub-55 since 2024.
