With all the buzz surrounding the Brooks XC Championships and Nike Regional meets, the California State XC Championships flew under the radar over the weekend, but produced several impressive performances across the board - especially those by underclassmen.

Oaks Christian's Sterling White was the fastest freshman boys finisher in Fresno over the weekend, crossing the line in 9th in the Division 4 championship race. The rising class of 2029 star set a new personal best time of 15:20.60, earning his first top-10 performance at the state meet.
