In an era of racing that has such a large emphasis on times, we occasionally forget why we race - to win. Winning races has become an afterthought in cross country, yet it could be argued is all that matters in our beautiful sport.

South Texas Heat - Christian's Elin Latta ran the 11th fastest 5K en route to a victory at the VA XC Showcase in October. The Lone Star State sophomore crossed the line in 16:41.50, which is a US #12 this season, but is one of the most impressive victories this fall.
