And across dozens of classification lines, the sport reminded us once again that there is no singular template for how state meets unfold.
From Tennessee's state finale to the VHSL crown races in Virginia, all the way down to Carrollton's signature gauntlet in Georgia, this was the weekend where predictions met pressure and athletes had to decide whether they wanted to just place well or actually win.
