The Lone Star State has a history of being one of the fastest distance states in the country and it appears as if they will have a strong group of underclassmen making their way to the national spotlight over the next few years.

Led by Graham Hummel (HSAA), Kai Gutierrez (Southlake Carroll), and Ruel Newberry (Denton Guyer), Texas has three of the eight fastest 5K boys times run this season by sophomores and freshmen.
