Register For The Brooks XC South Region Championship

The Brooks XC South Championship is quickly approaching. Slated for November 29th at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, the top runners in the South will clash for a coveted regional championship title and a qualifying spot at the Brooks XC National Championships in San Diego on December 13.

Texas once again reigns supreme atop the Brooks XC Top 1000 rankings, holding five of the top seven spots after a dominant showing at this weekend's UIL State Championships.

Southlake Carroll's Caden Leonard leads the way with a 14:42.00, further cementing his case as the top overall runner in the country. Behind him, Ruel Newberry of Denton Guyer finished runner-up in a 14:49.00 - a remarkable time for a sophomore who continues to turn heads this fall. Griffen Saacke (Bridgeland) and Kai Gutierrez (Carroll) weren't far behind, helping Texas claim four of the top five times in the national leaderboard.
