Underclassmen Rankings: Fastest Sophomore Boys 5K Times

Ruel Newberry put the nation on notice last season, setting the all-time freshman record for a high school 5K and has been spectacular in his second season. The sophomore from Denton Guyer set the fourth fastest time run by a sophomore this season at his season opener at the Coach T Marcus Invitational, running a 14:39.00. Newberry has since gone on to win the Nike South Invitational in College Station and will be one of the many threats from the Lone Star State as this season's national meets roll around.
