Quincy Wilson Stuns the Pros in 400m Victory

In his highly anticipated 400m season debut, Quincy Wilson did what he does best: dominate a field of professionals.

Facing off against a trio of elite 400m runners at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, including Will Sumner (USA), Jereem Richards (TTO), and Zakithi Nene (RSA), Wilson found himself in a competitive race. At the 200m mark, Nene led the pack in 21.07, with Wilson sitting in third at 21.20. But with remarkable composure, Wilson surged ahead in the final stretch, crossing the line in a blistering 45.66, a new indoor personal best by a tenth of a second.

At just 17 years old, Wilson's season debut was nothing short of extraordinary, and the future looks incredibly bright for the young standout.

This stunning run moves Engelhardt to No. 2 on the U.S. high school indoor all-time list, just behind Mary Cain's all-time best of 4:28.25.
