With just a few weeks left of the 2024 cross-country season, there are quite a few girls around the U.S. who are still notching personal bests as the weeks go by.

A pair of Californians have separated themselves from the contingent of 3-MIie improvers, as Chico's Molly Shewey and Point Loma's Kelly McIntire have each lowered their 2023 bests by quite a bit. 

Shewey ended her freshman year with a PB of 30:21.7 and has since knocked exactly 10:10.09 off over the last few months. Shewey clocked 20:11.61 at the EAL/SRL League Finals, marking her first-ever sub-21 performance. 

McIntire ran her way to a PB of 17:55.1 at the 43rd Annual Woodbridge Classic, improving on her freshman mark by 7:30.90.
