Analysis: Cheeseman quietly put together one of the strongest campaigns a year ago, winning another Tennessee state title and clocking a PB of 16:27.6 in her season opener. She was a perfect 4-0 through the duration of her in-state season, before going up against the best the region and country have to offer.
Cheeseman also finished runner-up at the Foot Locker South Region, before taking 13th at Foot Locker Nationals after finishing fourth during her sophomore year.
This past spring, Cheeseman kept the good times rollin', adding three more TSSAA titles to her résumé and lowering her personal bests to 9:56.83, 4:42.24, and 2:15.75, the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 10 times in Tennessee this year.
