Holy smokes!
A phenomenal performance by Chiara Dailey led all California girls this weekend.
The high school sophomore out of La Jolla ran a time of 15:54.20 for 3-miles, clocking a time that currently leads both the state and nation for the distance.
The top 10 girls from this weekend all belong to either a CIF San Diego Section or a CIF Southern Section school.
Rylee Blade of Santiago Corona, who currently holds the No. 3 spot, produced the fastest time from an athlete in the SS after her win at Cool Breeze on Saturday.
Dailey and Gioana Lopizzo, both from the San Diego Section sit first and second, respectively.
Three girls ran 16:30 or faster and it is still very early in the season.
Looking ahead, the highly anticipated Woodbridge XC Classic will help produce more blazing fast times for these...
