Where: USATF U20 National Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Record-Holder: Trentavis Friday, Cherryville (NC), 2014

You may be scratching your head at this one, but consider the factors that contribute to an athlete reaching this mark again in high school.

Said athlete has to perform at an extraordinary high level as a high school senior (age 18 or 19), has to avoid signing a professional contract (which is becoming harder) and must obtain a wind-legal wind performance during his competition (which you can't control).

Now, have athletes been capable in recent years? Of course.

Trayvon Bromell, Matthew Boling, Erriyon Knighton and Issam Asinga all have run faster, technically. But none of those times have been wind-legal.

Knighton may have been the best bet to achieve this feat, but he rarely ran the 100m at the age of 17 or 18 and he turned pro at 16, thereby erasing his high school eligibility.

All that said, Trentavis Friday's time of 10.00 from 2014 may stand for a long time.
