GIRLS HIGH JUMP

Mark: 6-5.25

Where: Pan-American U20 Championships

Record-Holder: Vashti Cunningham, Bishop Gorman (NV), 2015

Vashti Cunningham was a generational high school talent. She went over 6-4 a total of three times in 2015 and three more times in 2016.

In doing so, she downed a record of 6-4 that had stood since 2009 and of which was first accomplished by Amy Acuff in 1993.

No high school female has since leapt over 6-2 in the high jump outdoors.

Morgan Smalls, a 2020 graduate of Panther Creek (NC), went 6-2.25 in 2019, though she cleared 6-3.25 indoors in 2019.
