Gero-Holt, Moll Sisters Shine At USATF Indoors

If JaiCieonna Gero-Holt is working out of a "greatest ever" playbook, she might be right on pace. 

The Emerald Ridge (WA) sophomore, who's the nation's top heptathlete, finished fifth in the women's high jump a the USATF Indoor Championships on Friday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

That finish may have earned her $1,000, which is the amount fifth-place finishers receive ...if compliance and NCAA regulations allow for such a thing to happen for a high schooler. 

And she wasn't even the only high schooler to earn that honor. 

In the women's pole vault, the Moll twins of Olympia Capital once again shined brightly, with Hana earning a fifth-place finish with a clearance of 4.51 meters (14-9.5). Her sister,  Amanda, was eighth with the same clearance. 

Just for reference, Gero-Holt was second in the heptathlon at the USA U20 Championships a year ago ...as a high school freshman. 

And who better to chase than Anna Hall, who won the women's 400m final and the pentathlon -- where she set a new national record -- on Saturday in Albuquerque.

Hall also owns the high school national record in the pentathlon and heptathlon. Hall owns an all-time pentathlon mark of 4,302 points.
