On Thursday, meet officials for the 115th annual Millrose Games announced five high schoolers as part of the professional fields on Feb. 11 in New York City.

Shawnti Jackson, Sophia Gorriaran, Amanda Moll, Hana Moll and Connor Burns are the star athletes set to attend.

Jackson will compete in the women's 60m for the second consecutive year and Gorriaran will take to the women's 600m against the likes of World and Olympic 800m champion Athing Mu.

Burns will round out the track action with a spot in the men's invite mile and the Moll sisters will compete in the women's pole vault field that features the Olympic and World gold medalist Katie Moon.

Both Jackson and Gorriaran return to the Millrose Games after competing in professional women's fields in 2022. Jackson clocked a 60m high school national record en route to a third-place finish in the finals and Gorriaran placed fourth in the women's 800m in 2:03.66 behind indoor event record-holder Roisin Willis.

So far in 2023, Jackson has added yet another national record to her resume behind a 36.63 300m effort at The VA Showcase to surpass Sydney McLaughlin in the record books. Gorriaran has also produced all-time efforts on the indoor track, including the sixth-fastest indoor mile ever registered of 4:37.40 from the BU Opener in December.

Joining Jackson and Gorriaran with Millrose experience are the Moll sisters, who also competed at last year's event and took the top two spots on the podium in the junior girls pole vault. Weeks ago, Amanda made history as the first high school girl to ever eclipse 15-feet in the pole vault indoors or outdoors with a 15-1 national record at the National Pole Vault Summit.

Hana cleared 14-10 at the same meet to improve upon her US No. 2 all-time indoor mark.

The only athlete of the group making his Millrose Games debut is Burns, who will compete in the men's invite mile weeks after opening his indoor season at the CYUP Misfits Invite with the 14th-fastest indoor 2-mile in high school history. The Oregon signee became one of five boys during the 2022 outdoor season to go under four minutes in the mile, registering a 3:58.83 best at the HOKA Festival of Miles in June.

The group of five already has two national records to their names this indoor season alone -- Amanda's 15-1 pole vault effort and Jackson's 36.63 300m performance -- and could likely go after more all-time performances in their contests against the pros.

But the five selected for the pro races won't be the only high schoolers taking to the track at The Armory on Feb. 11. Other prep athletes from around the country will compete in prestigious high school events against some of the best competition seen so far in 2023.
