Bowdoin XC Classic Hosted MileSplit50 Ranked Teams

The boys of Christian Brothers Academy (NJ), No. 9 on the MileSplit50 rankings, faced Union Catholic (NC), No. 13 on the MileSplit50 rankings, at the Bowdoin XC Classic in Wappingers Falls, New York. 

One of New Jersey's up-and-coming stars and MileSplit50 No. 22 ranked runner Jimmy Wischusen debuted his junior season with a 15:54.2 5K to win his first title of the season. His controlled performance was the ninth-fastest time by a New Jersey runner in course history. 

Once Wischusen crossed the finish line, the race for the team title began. 

Six seconds behind Wischusen was the first CBA runner to score. Nicholas Sullivan clocked a 16:00.7 for second and led the Colts to a 2-4-10-12-13 finish to grasp the team title with a 41-98 victory in the Divison II race over Union Catholic, the defending Meet of Champions winner. CBA made history as it finished with a 16:25 average to make this team the fourth-fastest in school history on the Bowdoin Park course. 

Union Catholic's runners crossed as the 1-9-19-26-43 fastest runners with a 16:50 average. 

On the girls side, Union Catholic ran away with a 20-91 victory over Bronxville (NY). Peyton Hollis won the race in 18:51.5 and led Union Catholic to a 1-2-3-5-10 finish with an average of 19:42 in the Divison II race. The Haddonfield (NJ) girls went 3-6-7-8-9 to average a 20:05 to win the Division I title.
